What We Do
We strive to end ‘relational poverty’ by giving our neighbors who are disconnected, homeless and destabilized a place where they belong.
We provide a safe space where people feel known and loved, and where supportive community flourishes as we walk alongside those seeking increased stability and hope for a brighter future.
How We Do It
We are building a supportive community by welcoming each neighbor who comes through our door into a space where they can find connection to vital resources, a listening ear, and a number of programs with a wide variety of community-specific choices.
We learn each neighbor’s name, and spend time with them creating friendships, and showing them they have value and they belong here. Our programs focus on strengthening our community, improving life-skills, and creating friendships centered on the love of Jesus.
We Need Your Help
RVA Light needs help with program assistance, financial support, and community engagement.
We rely on volunteers who generously give their time to assist in the resource center, and we are happy to welcome new or returning volunteers to help in person at RVA Light, or with financial donations!
